Western EEO Committee Celebrates Black History Month "Raisin On Up: Where R We!" Save The Date - Sunday, February 19, 2012 In celebration and recognition of Black History Month 2012 the Western Region EEO Committee in partnership with Center Theatre Group is hosting a panel discussion surrounding the A RAISIN IN THE SUN and CLYBOURNE PARK connection. The two productions are running simultaneously in Los Angeles with RAISIN at the Kirk Douglas Theatre ( Jan 19th - Feb. 19th)and CLYBOURNE at the Taper (Jan. 11 - Feb. 26th). The Panel will consist of actors from both productions and original cast members of the 1959 Broadway production of A RAISIN IN THE SUN. The event will be held at the Kirk Douglas Theatre on February 19th, 2012 at 3:30 pm following the 1:00 pm Matinee performance of RAISIN. The discussion will focus on Acting and Equal Employment Opportunity over the past 50 years to tie into the show. The panel will be moderated by Pier Carlo Talenti, Literary Manager for the Center Theatre Group including Starletta DuPois, Glynn Turman, Wren T. Brown, Ben Guillory and Lou Gossett.
