Career Transition for Dancers Four Ways to Get Involved!

Register now for classes that start on January 17, or for the next semester starting on March 9! Career Transition For Dancers' Los Angeles office is partnering with the Los Angeles School District and The Actors Fund to provide computer classes for dancers of all ages and computer skill levels. All fees and registration costs are waived for those who are eligible for a grant with Career Transition For Dancers, West Coast. Please contact Joanne at 323 549 6660 for further information.
Brooklyn Monday, January 23-6:00-8:00pm Led by Joan Jeffri, Director of the Research Center for the Arts and Culture at the National Center for Creative Aging, this town hall will dig deep into the unique and urgent needs of aging dance artists in NYC, and explore opportunities to develop public policy and programs aimed at improving the lives of this vital segment of the population. Join Dance/NYC, Career Transition For Dancers, Dancers Over 40 and the wider dance community to discuss Still Kicking-Performing Artists in NYC and LA Metro Areas: Information on Artists IV, published in 2011. NYC Monday, February 27-7:00pm Some Dance Company: A David Fernandez Celebration was organized by New York City based dancer and arts manager Kimberly Giannelli to honor the renowned master teacher, dancer and choreographer for his contributions to the international dance community. Excerpts from an array of David's most admired works will be performed by stars from the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, the Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble, and the New Jersey Ballet, among others all donating their talents and services for this very special, one night only performance. All net proceeds from the evening will be donated to Career Transition For Dancers.
