AEA's Centennial Countdown

EventQuest, AEA 100 YEARS

Actors’ Equity Engages EventQuest,
Renowned Design/Marketing Agency
To Envision and Produce AEA’s Centennial in 2013

Call To Action

In order to ensure that the Centennial is truly a national celebration involving the entire membership and associated organizations across the country, EventQuest has created a Call To Action form and email address to gather ideas and suggestions. These will be collected and discussed by the Centennial Committee in the coming months.

“We want to hear from the entire membership,” emphasized Acting President Paige Price. “As a member-driven, democratic institution, every Equity member has a key play a role in this process. We have already received dozens of exciting suggestions and are looking for more.”

Following an extensive search, AEA’s Centennial Committee has engaged EventQuest, a full-service Experiential Design and Event Marketing agency, to envision and produce Actors’ Equity’s Centennial in 2013. EventQuest will be responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing strategy and designing and implementing a brand identity for AEA’s Centennial, with components like an interactive website, nation-wide events, educational programs, and a promotional calendar.

“EventQuest was selected because of their extensive experience, high-caliber roster and familiarity with AEA and the theatrical industry,” said Acting President Paige Price and Acting Executive Director Carol Waaser. “Their presentations to the Presidential Planning Committee, the Centennial Committee and the Council demonstrated a proven capability to produce at the magnitude that our 100th Birthday deserves. We want to celebrate our Centennial in every Equity theatre and every Equity community across the country.”

“We are enormously proud and thoroughly enthusiastic to be joining with AEA for its 100th anniversary,” said Mark Veeder, EventQuest’s Founding Partner and Executive Creative Director. “Actors’ Equity is a part of American history, and our vision is to create a year of irresistible and unforgettable blockbuster programs that properly celebrate this monumental milestone and acknowledge AEA’s achievements in enriching our culture, our society and lives.”

In addition to Veeder, a key player on the EQ team for Actors’ Equity 100 is Ariadne Villarreal. A familiar face to AEA, Ariadne was Associate Director of Special Projects at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS for nearly 10 years before joining EQ in 2007 as Senior Vice President, Managing Director of Production.

EventQuest’s client roster includes a who’s who of global brands—Mercedes-Benz, Samsung, CNN, Time Magazine, Chase, Citigroup, the Super Bowl, and the Oscars, to name a few—and, the company has been instrumental in helping them achieve their strategic marketing goals through the use of events.
